Soon after, expect a call from a PRAB representative, who will discuss your desired roles and determine the one that’s right for you. Please be aware that PRAB may run criminal background and other checks.
Board Committees & Advisory Council:
Help shape policy and provide institutional support around programs, operations (Operations, Finance & HR), and development (Fundraising & Communications). Meetings take place periodically at convenient times in person and via conference calls.
Programs & Services:
Work directly with toddlers, preschoolers, grade schoolers, adolescents, adults, seniors, and families, including perform outreach and carry out recognitions and celebrations.
Administrative Offices:
Assist with general office duties, including administrative support for operations, programs, and fiscal departments. Available daytime hours between 8am and 5pm.
Fundraising Events:
Assist with special fundraising and development events, including agency wide GALA, Networking and Mixers, Golf Outings, Special Appeals, etc.
Special Events:
Staff tables at community events held around Middlesex and Mercer Counties in New Jersey as part of our agency’s outreach plan. Also, help coordinate special agency-wide events throughout the year.
Community Service and Special Projects:
Help enhance the overall environment of our buildings, including special beautification and maintenance projects, community gardens, bulletin boards and program displays, etc.
Seasonal and Holiday Drives:
Organize special drives to collect needed items for the organization, such as newborn and baby items, school supplies, personal care items, holiday drives for Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, clothing and coat drives, etc.
Community Speakers Bureau:
Serve as a workshop presenter and/or speaker as part of professional development training for staff or during client socio-educational groups.
Interpretation & Translation Services:
Interpret for families in need of additional support (primary needs include English/Spanish and Spanish/English interpretation). Also, assist with written translations to Spanish and other highly-used languages in the community.
