PRAB’s Early Childhood programs are both affordable and exceptional. We operate the largest program in New Brunswick, giving working parents a quality educational alternative for their children.
PRAB’s Affordable Daycare Program serves 40 young children, ages 2 1/2–5 years old. To qualify for this program, both parents (or one parent in the case of a single parent household) must be either working or attending school for a minimum of 30 hours per week. The majority of the children that attend this program come from households where Spanish is the primary language spoken. All classroom activities foster the development of bilingual learners. English as a foreign language is taught throughout providing children with the opportunity to develop English speaking skills and successfully enter Kindergarten on-track.
PRAB is the largest preschool provider in the New Brunswick School District, providing high quality early childhood education to 585 children, ages 3 and 4 years old. The Abbott Preschool program includes six (6) hours of educational programming, and four (4) hours of before and after care service each school day as well as a two (2) month supplemental summer program. The ten (10) month educational program is free of charge and provides every child, regardless of their socioeconomic status, a comprehensive and exceptional education. Parents must submit income verification in order to qualify for the wraparound and summer program services. Based on income status, families may qualify for free, reduced, or pay service for wraparound. The program also offers a free daily nutrition program of breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack.
